Magrolimab, an anti-CD47 antibody, is designed to interfere with the ability of SIRP\u03b1 receptor on macrophages to recognize CD47 molecule, thus rendering cancerous cells vulnerable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, Forty Seven has presented positive results form the trial meant to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Magrolimab in patients with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delveinsight.com\/report-store\/myelodysplastic-syndrome-market\">Myelodysplastic Syndromes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delveinsight.com\/report-store\/acute-myeloid-leukemia-aml-market\">Acute Myeloid Leukemia<\/a>. Besides Magrolimab, the company also has other candidates such as FSI-189 Anti-SIRP\u03b1 Antibody and FSI-174 Anti-cKIT Antibody. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Akrevia Therapeutics has rebranded itself as Xilio Therapeutics, after two years of its launch. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company focused on developing potential immunotherapies to help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delveinsight.com\/blog\/liver-cancer-incidence\/\">cancer <\/a>patients, has also secured a sum of USD 100 Million in Series B financing, led by Takeda Ventures, SV Health Investors, MRL Ventures Fund, RiverVest Venture Partners, Bay City Capital, Solasta Ventures, M Ventures, Ipsen Ventures, along with the existing investors F-Prime Capital and Atlas Venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary reason behind getting a new identity is to highlight the transition of the company from research-based company to successfully able to develop novel innovative IO therapies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company plans to use the amount to advance the clinical development of its lead candidates further. Xilio intends to use the proceeds to push XTX201 (tumor-selective IL-2) and XTX101 (tumor-selective aCTLA4 mAb) to Phase I clinical studies through Investigational New Drug (IND) designation. Additionally, the company also plans to accelerate its tumor-selective cytokine program through its technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New York-based Cerovene has announced the recommendation from the US FDA to its pyrimethamine for curing toxoplasmosis. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Toxoplasmosis is a consequence of infection from Toxoplasma gondii parasite \u2013 one of the most common parasites \u2013 affecting approximately 11% of the American population of age six years and older.
